A beam of phased, charged particles, designed to overwhelm a target's shields. The phased particle beams are also quite effective at tearing through armor, and as such they find service mostly on Anti-Capital Cruisers. Due also to their shield-piercing nature, they are implemented on starfighters. Efforts are now being made to miniaturize the particle beam emitters to a smaller, bazooka sized weapon usable by their infantry.
